• Complete indoor and outdoor residential construction projects • Build, repair and install wooden fixtures, including bench tops and cabinetry • Perform heavy labor including paving and ditch digging • Operate construction machinery safely, including backhoe, compactor and bulldozer • Assisted in roof repair by removing old roofing materials, sweeping and cleaning to prepare for new materials and hauling tar and roofing materials onto roof

• Mixed construction materials, including grout, mortar and plaster, to standard formulas • Maintained equipment and kept work areas clean to avoid hazards • Measured and cut materials for installation • Painted interior and exterior walls of buildings using brushes, rollers and spray guns • Worked with team to ensure projects were completed on time and within budget

Trainees will learn a basic knowledge of various tools used in construction and how to use them, use of Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters (GFCI) and the operation of different electrical, powder actuated and air tools, basic industry math, knotting and rigging, PPE and health and safety issues. This course covers general information on all aspects of our scope of work.
